Hey! I feel a connection with your story. I am from India and I am an immigrant as well.In the past,the place where I am from,also has a similar thinking that women are not supposed to go outside alone and they are not allowed to socialize. After I came to Canada,5 years ago,my perspective changed and I am really happy that it’s not the same back in my home country now.It’s still the same in a few places in villages but it has definitely improved a lot!Social media has been a big reason for this change.
